Development Plan & Zoning By-Law Review

The RM of Hanover State of the Region Report is intended as the point of departure to begin the involvement of community and government stakeholders, municipal council, and their administration in the planning process. This report will not only be used to inform the development plan review process, but can be used as an indicator of where the municipality is coming from as it plans, develops and grows into the future. The report can serve as a baseline to track the achievements of the forthcoming municipal development plan with regards to its vision, objectives and goals.

The RM of Hanover State of the Region Report reflects current circumstances within the municipality, providing a review and analysis of the following:

  • Historical context
  • Land and natural features
  • Socio-demographic factors
  • Agricultural trends
  • Current land use documents
  • Economic conditions
  • Existing infrastructure
  • Engineering reports
  • Servicing levels and capacities
  • Population projections
  • Housing supply and demand
  • Regional mapping
Open Houses were held in Blumenort and Grunthal On September 22nd & 23rd, 2015.  Consultants from Lombard North Group were on hand to perform visioning exercises with participants. Copies of poster boards displayed can be found by clicking here and here.
