Street Sweeping

Street sweeping in the RM of Hanover is completed each spring in two phases.

Phase One focuses on sweeping boulevard strips and sidewalks to remove sand and debris that have accumulated over the winter months.

Phase Two involves sweeping municipal streets to improve roadway conditions and help keep our communities clean.

While the RM of Hanover takes every precaution to minimize impacts to boulevards and municipal rights-of-way during street sweeping operations, some damage to grassed areas may occur due to equipment access and accumulated winter sand and debris. Once sweeping operations are complete, municipal crews will inspect affected areas and carry out restoration work as needed, including the placement of topsoil and grass seed to help re-establish vegetation. We appreciate residents' patience as these areas recover throughout the growing season.

If you notice damage to a boulevard or right-of-way area, please send an email to worksandoperations@hanovermb.ca with the location (civic address and town), description of damages and any relevant pictures.
