The Mitchell & District Recreation Committee is a group of volunteers who manage and support the recreation programs and events in the community. The committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month.

- Community Breakfast (Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, 8:00am-10:00am at the Community Centre)
- Minor Soccer
- Minor Baseball & Softball
- Adult Slo-pitch
- Minor Hockey - Mitchell Mustangs
- Adult/Minor Rec Hockey
- Public Skating on Sundays (subject to change), fee charged; helmets required for both children and adults
- Arts and Crafts Programs (Bible School)
- Mitchell Cards & Board Games Club (Every 2nd and 4th Thursday, 6:30-9:00pm), starting October 24 - March 13
